Nordic Nature is a collection of immersive and evocative ambiences recorded by George Vlad and Pete Smith over a three-year period across the wilderness of Sweden and Norway. From ancient woodland dawn choruses and sparse pine forest ambiences to the intense nighttime calls of marsh frogs and bitterns on Swedish lakes, this library captures the sounds of some of Norway and Sweden's key habitats across various times of day and night.

Nordic Nature is a collaboration with sound recordist George Vlad. The library features immersive and evocative ambiences recorded over a three-year period across the wilderness of Sweden and Norway. From ancient woodland dawn choruses and sparse pine forest ambiences to the intense nighttime calls of marsh frogs and bitterns on Swedish lakes, this library captures the sounds of some of Sweden and Norway’s key habitats across various times of day and night.

Highlights include the wailing calls of adult and juvenile Goshawks (Accipiter gentilis), the pig-like grunting of Capercaillies (Tetrao urogallus) and the croaking of frogs on large lakes, all recorded in pristine conditions in their natural habitats. At the other end of the spectrum, the library also features calm nightscapes and weather elements such as wind and rain.
